Form a Fundraising Committee
Funds raised will be used as capital for the construction of the units in CareWest Lodge.
The people who will benefit the most from the CareWest Lodge project are those in the towns 100km or more from the Radiotherapy Unit in Orange who cannot return home each day after each treatment dose.
This will be the case for people from Dubbo, Narromine, Mudgee, Parkes Condobolin, Cowra, Lithgow and beyond. Patient and carers will live in the accommodation units of CareWest Lodge for periods up to seven weeks. This will be a "home away from home".
Fundraising by each community is encouraged to support future cancer patients from that community.
A fundraising committee can be formed by a group of interested and committed people. Any funds raised by a single or multiple events can be mailed to Cancer Care West as a cheque with an accompanying letter or by using the downloadable form. Such groups have been established in Condobolin, Wellington and Grenfell.
Established organisations such as Rotary, RSL, Zonta and other community organisations are encouraged to consider Cancer Care Western NSW as a charity worthy of supporting by fundraising.
